On August 6, 2020 at about 5:00PM, victim Ma. Rebecca Tulang Flores, 56 years old, female, widow, public school teacher and a resident of Purok Kohoutik, Brgy. Dagocdoc, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur, came to Tandag CPS and reported that her yellow Suzuki Raider 115, with chassis no. EH11A-101099 and engine no. AEP4-301151, was being carnapped by Leo Maata Copina alias “Kevin/Mark Bucalon”, 27 years old, with live-in partner, jobless and a resident of Prk. 1, Brgy. Isla, Cantilan, SDS. Victim further added that the suspect sold her with 10 pcs. Internet modems amounting to Thirty Five Thousand Pesos (Php35, 000.00) alleging that each items has unlimited internet connections. Personnel of Tandag CPS led by PCPT MELCHOR D. CHANG-ASEN JR., DCOP conducted hot pursuit operation in coordination with the Cantilan MPS for monitoring and possible arrest of the suspect. On September 3, 2020 at about 3:00PM, the aforementioned suspect was arrested by personnel of Tandag CPS at Prk. 2, Brgy. Calagdaan, Cantilan, SDS and recovered the above described motorcycle from the latter’s actual possession. After arrest of the suspect, several victims namely; Denmar Suan Roxas, Mae Historia Fallado, Generyl Sullano Galope, Jeannie Lyne Tan Acosta and Charliewen Hanggin Uriarte appeared to Tandag CPS and manifested that same suspect sold them SIM cards and Internet Modems deceiving them also with unlimited internet connections. Said victims paid the suspect with an accumulated amount of Two Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Pesos (P228, 000.00). Suspect and recovered motorcycle are now in the custody of Tandag CPS for proper disposition.
